Ayurveda - The Science Of Self Healing

Ayurveda is the oldest and best healing system, originated and was developed more than three thousand years ago in India.

Ayurveda words derive from the Ayur (life) and Veda (Science or Knowledge) Sanskrit words.

Ayurveda promotes lifestyle interventions and natural therapies, and it helps us to recover a balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment.

Three Doshas: 

They control how your body works. 

  1. Vata Dosha
  2. Pitta Dosha
  3. Kapha Dosha

Everyone has a unique mix of the three Doshas. But one is usually more Vital than the others, and each handles a different body function—your Chances of getting the sick link to the balance of your Doshas.

Vata Dosha

  • Most powerful Doshaof three Doshas.
  • It controls elementary body functions, like how cells divide. It also prevents your mind, breathing, blood flow, heart function, and the ability to eliminate waste via the intestines.
  • One can disrupt it by eating again soon after a meal, grief, fear, and staying up too late.
  • If it's your primary life energy, you're more likely to develop conditions like...

  • heart disease
  • skin infections
  • rheumatoid Arthritis

Pitta Dosha

  • This Doshacontrols digestion, metabolism (how well you break down foods), and certain hormones linked to your appetite.
  • One can disrupt it by eating sour or spicy foods and spending too much time in the sun.
  • If it's your primary life energy, you're more likely to develop conditions like... 
  • heart disease
  • And high blood pressure.

Kapha Dosha

  • This controls muscle growth, body strength, stability, weight, and your Immune System.
  • One can disrupt it by --
  • sleeping during the day, eating too many sweet foods
  • Eating or drinking that contains too much Salt or water
  • If it's your primary life energy, you may develop asthma and other breathing disorders, cancer, Diabetes, Nausea after eating, and obesity.
