Beauty Tips and Treatments Made from Honey
Do you think about sweet things when thinking about beauty tips? I like to have a chocolate facial every once in a while. And then there are the sugar scrubs, the spice wraps and the vanilla steams.
But all those things are really costly. My last vacation spa visit was well over 150 dollars and I didn’t even get a full massage. Luckily, there are quite a few ways to give yourself the same sweet treatments in your own home. The basis for these delectable facials and masques? Honey, of course.
Below are just a few uses for honey that will leave you feeling delicious and beautiful:
* Your Honey Do Beauty Tip #1: Bubble baths - Just adding a cup of honey to your bubble bath will leave your skin soft and smooth. If you want an extra glow to you skin, exfoliate with a loofah while in the tub. If you add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder to your bubble bath, it will help keep your skin very clear. Of course, any time you bathe in any edible product, be sure to rinse down extra well afterwards.
* Honey Beauty Tip #2: Cake it on. - You can whip egg whites, honey and flour or unsweetened cocoa together to make a thick paste. You must first open your pores with a hot cloth for 3 minutes. You then smooth the mask on. Then wait for 10 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and admire your fresh, youthful skin.
* Honey Beauty Tip #3: You can make your own skin toner. - Place a half cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a half cup of rosewater in an air-tight container. If you have a Tupperware with a screw-on lid, it will work perfect. Thoroughly blend by shaking together really good. Don’t worry, its supposed to be runny and a cloudy color. You may then apply it with a cotton ball and your skin will be beautiful and toned.
When making these kinds of treatments, use the best honey. You can get a nice size jar of organic honey for much less than 20 dollars. You will be able to use this honey for your beauty tips for months to come
