Acorn Stairlift
Few years back, i met with a dangerous traffic accident. A woman riding a minivan broke the redlight and i turned aside to avoid the collision. I don’t remember much. Police report said that i collided with a telephone pole. After umpteen surgeries and a physical therapy, lasting more than an year, I came back to home, riding on my new wheelchair. It took a while for me to get over the loss of my legs, but I was more worried about other people worrying about me. I never rely on others for my tasks and do not want to burden others. I was aware that a lot of changes need to be done in the house inorder to cope up with the new condition. To begin with, I didn’t know how to get up and down the stairs. That’s when a friend of mine introduced me to the Acorn Stairlift.
At first, of course,i was a little unsure. I remember saying something like, “Aren’t those the things little old ladies ride to get up and down the stairs?” But he told me Acorn Stairlifts were used by thousands of disabled people around the world. They are run by the batteries, which ensures that they do not carry a trailing cable that your guests might get entangled with. It also means they’ll work even when there’s a power outage.
As a formerly fit thirty year-old male, I felt a little strange when I first took a seat in my Acorn Stairlift. I remembered the commercials of old ladies smiling blissfully as they took a ride on a stairlift. But later on i became accustomed to it. My Acorn Stairlift is just about the most dependable thing I own. It runs smoothly and efficiently every time. It also stops and starts on a dime. As for installation, a technician from Acorn Stairlift took care of it all. He visited my house and soon my stairlift was set up and functioning well. Although i am still trying to get accustom to using a product my great grandmother used, I am also aware of the freedom and independence that the arcon stairlift gave me.
