Eloise – A Day in the Life, Death and Survival of an Alzheimer’s Patient by a Caregiver

In 1981, while, doing some temporary work as a nursing assistant, I cared for a patient named Eloise. Eloise was at the very last stages of Alzheimer’s, and remarkably for me to observe, she still retained a very loving nature. It was as if once her personality was totally diminished, her soul could shine forth unhampered.
