Since I was a child,it was discovered that the active ingredient in over the counter cough syrups could be very deadly to me.

I have experienced heart palpitations,headaches,cold sweating and a complete feeling of malaise.

My mother realised that I could never be given OTC cough syrup.

As an adult, the condition never got better.
